Shimmering House

This building breaks all the rules, and does so beautifully. The off-form concrete swimming pool projects towards the street, it’s glass bottom casting dappled blue light over the entry path. This steeply sloping site had limited access on a busy blind corner, blocked by a massive fig tree while neighbouring structures bearing upon the land added a further challenge. Structural elements are exposed and detailed intricately to create a robust, yet elegant aesthetic.
